It makes sense for Australia’s number one radio network to only want the best of the best when it comes to networking and corporate entertaining. So it’s no surprise that we’ve had a long-standing relationship with NOVA Entertainment, helping them to put on amazing events for a variety of audiences.

We are currently one of the main venues they select when hosting key partner events with the aim of growing and strengthening these relationships.

NOVA Entertainment has entrusted us to help them entertain everyone from sales clients as guests of the General Manager and Sales Director, to up to 60 loyal listeners offered as part of an on-air promotion. With thousands of entries, it was also a successful driver of audience engagement.

As always our trusted caterers assist to provide a range of food and beverage solutions to match each occasion perfectly. Whether it is a three-course sit-down affair to casual canapes for larger groups, we work with our caterers, finding the package to suit the budget and audience.

Canapes and a cold seafood ice-bar is usually on the menu for NOVA, along with Moet/Chandon, Cloudy Bay wines and Hope brew-house draught beer.

Our aim is to take a lot of the decision-making, stress and hard work away from their team so they can focus on delivering their business objectives, as well as enjoying themselves, every time they step on to our boats.

We generally pick up and drop off at Pyrmont wharves, which is located conveniently close to their offices.

And entertainment on-board is always the laser clay shoot. Fostering the strong sense of competition among their clients always makes for an entertaining day out, so they love this activity every time they cruise.

Out of this partnership with NOVA, we’ve also developed a friendship with one of their most popular breakfast hosts, Michael “Wippa” Wipfli of duo Fitzy & Wippa.

I recently asked Wippa to tell me what he most enjoys about a day with us on the harbour.

“I’ve always dreamed of owning a superyacht – who hasn’t? There is no better way to enjoy a summer weekend than being on the harbour with family and friends. The only thing stopping me from buying a boat was a thing called money, but that’s ok, I did the next best thing.

“The crew has two huge cruising boats available for day hire and they do all the hard work – prepare your food, supply the beverage, maintain the boat, docking and anchoring, all I had to do was step on board with 15 of my closest friends and family – and the boys of course. We sat on the back deck, which is bigger than my lounge room and settled in for a few drinks and a seafood platter. It was such a great day, the kids stole the captain’s hat and pretending to be in charge and I may have even had a little kip in one of the three bedroom suites downstairs after lunch – it doesn’t get much better than that. All while cruising around on beautiful Sydney Harbour. All in all, a perfect day out.”

Thanks Wippa, we can’t wait to have you on board again!

If your business could benefit from hosting aboard a luxury superyacht, drop me a line.

Till next time,

Captain Simon
