It’s one of the biggest events on the international sporting calendar and an iconic Sydney Harbour moment. And for the last seven years, we’ve had the amazing opportunity to be as close to the ROLEX Sydney to Hobart as you can get (without being in the race), as the only exclusive vessel chartered by the ROLEX organisation.
Our 92-foot Motor Vessel A.Q.A. is one of only four spectator vessels permitted inside the race exclusion zone. This means we can get close enough to reach out and touch the competing race yachts.
Around 55 guests, including the CEO of ROLEX worldwide, the General Manager of ROLEX Australia, and top ROLEX retailers from around Australia and their clients, spend Boxing Day onboard A.Q.A., enjoying an elegant canape menu that showcases the best of Australian seafood and produce, as well as French champagne.
ROLEX has chartered A.Q.A. for this event since 2013, with the only variable being the wind and the weather – the service, catering and beverages have always remained at the highest level.
From a corporate event standpoint, the pressure to deliver is immense, but with seven years of repeat business, I believe our crew demonstrates its value. We are extremely proud of our association with this world-class luxury brand and hope to welcome them back on board in 2020.
